Where a property is showing no signs of being completed by the contract delivery date, your completion date has passed or even that the property is non-existent, then this is likely to lead to loss of income from potential rental yields. Late and non-delivery is a common problem with properties abroad purchased off-plan and can occur for many different reasons, for example: the developer may simply be unable to keep up with demand, or indeed the delay could be more serious.

If a property is delayed, the developer should inform a claimant that the completion date will not be adhered to.
